St Peter's Dome: 360° view

After Climbing the 551 steps to St Peter's Dome (but you can take an elevator avoiding the first half), this is the 360° holy view over St Peter square, the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican gardens.

With its 44 hectars (109 acres), The Vatican is the smallest country in the world, officially established in 1929. 850 citizens live here: members of the clergy, nuns, the Pope' Swiss Guards and gardeners with their families. A large part of it is made of gardens and greenhouses with hundreds of plants donated by embassadors, politicians and royal members. A art academy specialized in mosaics and restoration plus a science school; a railway, an eliport and Vatican radio; a gasoline station, a pharmacy, an old library and precious archives; miles of galleries for the artistic collection, the sistine chapel and the apostolic palace; a guesthouse and several buildings for its administration. And of course, the biggest church in the world: St Peter and its fabulous dome.
